I've been getting into their new album; Some Cities. I was thinking about seeing them live. Anybody see them?

I've seen them three times -- each time was better than the last. They are fantastic. I met the members after each gig, and they are down to earth and accommodating. I highly recommend going to see them live. The material from their three albums translates well live -- particularly "Pounding" and "Sea Song."

I've already gotten tickets to the 5.13 show at the Vic. I see you're from Naperville. Perhaps I'll see you there.

They are fantastic live - I have seen them at Brixton Academy and Glastonbury a couple of weeks ago. They have a great stage show and they sound really tight live. Very good band although I must admit it did take me quite a few listens, like any good band, to get into them. The Cedar Room is one of my favourite songs ever.

Yep

The guys are working on a new album right now, for release after Christmas. Can't wait.

I'm just starting to listen to "The Last Broadcast", but my friend also highly recommended "Some Cities". Which is better?

Some Cities has tracks on it that blow Broadcast away, but Broadcast is amazing throughout, while Cities stumbles occasionally.

The Last Broadcast wins automatically, because Caught By the River is the most beautiful song ever and as a standalone song is superb, as well as finishing the album epically.

Eevery Doves album has amazing tracks and awful tracks, I mean off Some Cities tracks like One of These Days and The Storm really impressed me as well, and Rise off of Lost Souls.

I can't stand Satellites, Walk In Fire and Lost Souls (title track) and always skip them. I'd rate most of the band's b-sides higher, because they just sound better to me.

The band is diverse, and doesn't fit into a trend, and really make some great music, easily one of the best bands around at the moment. Almost the Pink Floyd of the generation.

Hi all
We've not forgotten you... well maybe a bit....!
Just been busy writing and living.

Winter seemed to linger,
seems summers coming.

We start recording in May.

Love to all
