better hope the new management spends some money or evaluates talent like the Marlins.

Right now, we need a 3rd baseman who will produce everyday, not be hurt half the season. We need an actual productive hitting left fielder. We need to resign Andrew. We need consistant production and average from Right Field, better fielding all around, consistant production from 1st base....an actual relief pitcher other than Wickman who's worth a shit....oh and resign Wickman, and oh yeah, pick up Smoltz option, get the bald wonder to stop leaving the damned sinker up and over the middle and while we're at it find at least one more quality starter and that's just to compete with the rest of the division.

The Braves right now, are a bad team. A really, really, really bad team.

They had better hope these young guys snap out of it and get back to form next year to become consistant hitters.

Man it sure would be nice to have Jermaine Dye out there in left field again.

Sad that I miss seeing Ron Gant and David Justice out there.

Ryan Langerhans, sucks balls.

they're really not that bad. they blew 20 of their first 40 save chances. they save 30 of 40 at that point and they're only a few games back from the mets.

sure, the hitting has come around as it always does.

The point is they could have had Wickman before the season, and they neglected to make any moves.

Yeah, if they'd had a closer in the beginning we'd have been better off, Scherholtz decided to be cute and write a book instead of dealing with the fact that Reitsma is not a solid closer and other than Villareal and Baez, the rest of the bullpen, pretty much sucks ass.

I'll have to go with the Mets again, especially if Pelfrey and Milledge are MLB ready.

Laroche has been really, really good this year. He's been essentially the same player as Carlos Delgado. This is a much better hitting team than most of the 14 division winners.

Pitching is a completely different story, however, and unless Hudson goes back to his A's ways that won't be fixed easily.

Thanks Pete for the LaRoche point. He's been on fire in the second half.

I just wish that Frenchy knew what a walk was.

I made it one word instinctively as I use it as a euphemism for blowjob. True story.
