So, we're all into Pearl Jam and other rock...but what else do you listen to?

I love Tchaikovsky, Turlough O'Carolan, Aine Minogue, Aiofe Ni Fhearraigh, Gregorian Chant, all kinds of nerdy stuff like that.

I also have VeggieTales in my cd collection! ;)

Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite composers. He really knew how to bring this powerful beauty to his music, as evident in music from "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake," particularly the song "Lake in the Moonlight" from the latter ballet.

That piece is really indicative of what he could do as a composer. It was a delicate and lovely melody presented in this very powerful, robust way. Combining an ethereal idea and strengthening it was the work of a master. It's a very inspiring piece of music that never tires of me.

If listening to Tchaikovsky is nerdy, I must be an incredible geek.

i love Tchaikovsky: the Pathetic, and Romeo and Juliet are my favorites. and of course the #1 concert for piano and orchestra. Ravel and Debussy are favorites too (Branford Marsalis's versions are wonderful). i love Wagner too, especially Tristan and Isolde (Prelude and Liebestod with Jessie Norman is breathtaking!). i like Gershwin, too, Porgy and Bess is great.

in opera, i like Puccini.

i like Gregorian Chants and choir music in general, especially catalan music.

i love greek music (greek rock rules).

i love electronic music - trance, drum&bass (to dance).

If we're going classical, I love Beethovan. His was the most fun to play on piano, and it's so dark and beautiful. Vivaldi is lovely music to listen to at night.
