What are you using to print the labels that come with the boots? I'm still trying to figure out a way to do it other than print the pdf's in Acrobat and use scissors. I have a bunch of Neato labels (booklets/trayliners), but I can't import pdf files. I've tried converting the pdf's to jpg but the text looks like crap when I print.

if you have Adobe Photoshop, try to open the .PDF with that. It will give you a dialogue box asking you to rasterize the image and will give you some options. Make sure that the pixels/inch is at least 150. Even change it to 300 pixels/inch before clicking ok. You can then save out of photoshop as a .JPG and it will have a much higher resolution when you print.

Open the PDF in photoshop. Save it as a JPEG. Print. Make sure any scaling options are unchecked.

I used photo paper to print onto, and cut it out with an Xacto knife and ruler.

That was for the covers.

For the labels, I use the program I got off the website listed on the package of the CD labels I bought. I'll post it when I get home, but you need to open the label PDF in Photoshop and save it as a jpeg first.

Are we talking about the disc labels or the cover and tray artwork?

The cover and tray art print perfectly out of Reader or Acrobat.

The labels, well, I don't use printed labels, they're not a good idea.

If you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat it can convert pdf to jpg as well.

I have a full version of Acrobat. I save the pdf's as jpg's using Acrobat. Then I open up Neato's Mediaface to do the cover and trayliner. But, when insert the images, the text is all blurry and prints shitty.

I chose Mediaface because I have a bunch of their label stock that I would like to use for the boots.

For the CD's, I have a printer that will print directly onto inkjet printable CD-R's. So I've got no problems there...

Why are you bothering importing them into another program? Just print the .pdf's.

I know what you're saying. It's just that I have all these trayliners and inserts from Neato laying around that I would like to use if I can.

I heard from Neato's tech support. They say don't use their program (Mediaface) to print. He suggested buying their single trayliner and insert paper and printing it directly from Acrobat. The tech guy tried it and it was "dead on" left and right, but about 7mm too high.

Are you using some pre-scored/pre-perforated paper or something? I just print them out on 32# Hammermill and it looks fantastic. Exacto knife to cut em out.

Yeah, I'm trying to use perforated trayliners and inserts made by Neato.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary work for this particular case. :shrugs:

I use Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker. Technically, you have to pay for it, but...you know...get yourself some of that torrent action...

Just save the PDF as JPEG as mentioned above and then Acoustic will walk you though everything.

i gotta say i´m not into technology and so i always have to make my way aroun problems like this,the covers i just print them as pdf´s and they look pretty cool, the covers i just open the pdf do some "print screen" on the 100% zoom and then i put the image in the program i have that creates cd labels, and then i print them in a special paper, sticker and in a cd shape, eventhough it may not be the most correct way,it works just fine,my cd´s look great.
