I was looking through some stats today and the name John Jaha popped up and I started to laugh. I have no idea what he ever did but I knew that he had played for Milwaukee from playing old video games with him on the team.

Does anyone else find it weird when you remember strange, pointless things like this?

And just to clarify, no, this was not worthy of a thread. But I made one anyway.

I don't follow baseball much anymore, but I can sound off a shitload of players' names from the early 1990s, when I went through my baseball card collecting binge.

I have a ton of these

John Smiley
Haywood Jeffries
Tony Eusebio
Gianluca Poliuca
Mel Rojas
Ryan Wetnight
Chad Bratzke
Jamie Asher
Alex Ochoa
Harold Baines
Chris Sabo
Craig Ehlo
Jose Rijo
Dave Burba
Chidi Ahanatou
Alvin Whitted
Tim McDonald
Tony Pena
Vernon Maxwell
Bobby Phills
Bimbo Coles
Olden Polynice

Basically, most of the 90's athletes from teams I didn't follow are like this for me. I recognize names, teams and maybe positions, but beyond that I've got nothing on them. If I had my baseball cards with me I could go on forever.

Yes. Always loved his name but never knew what he actually did until a couple weeks ago.

(sad story on those last three :()

I'm sure there's more players in my mind somewhere. If we go into basketball then it gets ever crazier.

Good call on Blauser and Lightenburg, but I left Segui and Van Slyke off mine because I remember a pretty good deal about those guys. Especially Van Slyke. Wasn't he an All-Star for a couple years?

Again, gotta say I remember too much about Buhner to put on my list. His chin goatee was legendary.

Dan Quisenberry is pretty sad too.
Kelly Gruber and Chris Sabo were my two favorite players growing up and they have already been mentioned.
Others are:

Derrick May
Mike Morgan
Mike Harkey
Jim Bullinger
Dan Pasqua
Bob Hamelin
Craig Grebek
