Does anyone else hate the SOLAT on the greatest hits. Its got way too much reverb. Also when jeff and stone sing in lines like "The smell is on my hands", i think it sounds really corny.

What is that line suppose to mean? I've always associated with... well I'm not going to say.

Not a song you want to pay too much attention to lyrics on. The lines generally sound great on their own, until you put them all together and it starts to feel utterly nonsensical.

My favorite song by PJ, and I'm not a fan of the Greatest Hits version.

It's fun for something different, but the singles version is far superior.

was my favourite pj song for many years (till DTE came around). Still in my top 5. As Stip said, Singles version is far superior. I also dont think they quite get it right live....

i'm gonna listen to singles again, because reading this thread makes me wonder about the "old" version again.

the mtv unplugged version owns.

"what is this? this is state of love and trust, busting down the pretext..."

oh and I really like this vocal improv that ed does on the widly circulated melbourne 3 98 boot. In the break down towards the end he's all:

'.. free to suggestions, free to suggestions, free to suggestions'

They don't, which I've never understood. This never struck me as a song that would have been hard to nail.

I wish Eddie would sing the 'voice inside my head' lyric. I have no idea why he doesn't.
