I recently purchased a bare bones Dual Layer DVD burner and was wondering what software people around here use to rip/burn their dvd's. DVDXCOPY looked good, but I read somewhere that the manufacturer went belly up over legal issues.

dvd decryptor is the best ripping program, and nero burns just about anything....

you can burn with decryptor also. it's freeware; just google it

Well, there is no point burning dual-layer discs at this point because they cost like $10 each; you will have to burn on 4.5 GB discs . This means you will have to either recompress the video or cut a lot of menus and bonus features. To do this you will probably need something more powerful than decrypter. Do a google search, there are plenty of programs to do this (DVDShrink for example). I don't copy movies so I wouldn't be able to reccomend a program.
