so let's get this straight in case anybody out there wants to argue the refs made the correct call, or oregon won this game and there's no reason to bitch, etc. should all teams now endeavor on their onside kicks to do the following in order to gain possession?
1. kick ball
2. touch ball well before it goes the supposedly required ten yards
3. not recover ball in scrum.

oregon did all three to absolute perfection.
I was pissed that they kept ending the replay before the point at which OU claimed to have recovered the ball.

to be fair to abc, the recovery shouldn't have mattered. it's just another level of criminality involved in that call. let's see, number 23 in white has the ball, so let's give it to the guys who look like batman villains instead.
see the ball in OU 23's hands on the right side of the screen? how is this even possible, other than either the most incompetent reviewer they could possibly find or downright fraud?

that's gotta be the worst call in the history of college sports.

I havn't been this pissed in years....not since the refs gave colorado 5 downs in the final minutes to beat missouri.
I was more pissed that the idiot AP voters gave them a share of the National Title.
Georgia Tech was by far the best team in the nation that year, Colorado loses to Missouri and they get a share of the title?
Do sportswriters actually watch games? Tech shredded Nebraska and their lauded black shirts defense for 45 pts and they only get a share of the title? Come on AP. Come on. The AP does not count (yes USC fans you heard me) The AP title does not count, it's not worth the "newspaper" it's written on. The only National Champion is the one at the end of the year holding the crystal football.
Somebody should be fired based on what they did at Oregon on saturday, now. Should OU be upset? Sure, but I bet it sucks more to be on the same level as Oregon.
As far as saturday, it was a bang bang play (the reason we have replay) and the refs provided about as bad a homer call as it gets, not to mention the subsequent bad call right after that.

I had absolutely NO rooting interest in this game, BUT the onside kick debacle AND the deflected pass that was inexplicably missed, had me adamantly rooting for Oklahoma.

Pac-10 suspends officials for one game
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The Pacific-10 Conference suspended for one game the officiating crew and the instant replay officials that worked Saturday's Oklahoma-Oregon football game after finding mistakes were made in calls near the end of the contest.
Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen said Monday that a review by conference officials of video of the game revealed that both the instant replay officials and the game officials assigned by the conference made errors in the final minute and 12 seconds of the game.
Oklahoma lost the game 34-33 after Oregon scored two touchdowns near the end of the game.
