Why is this country still on the U.N. Security Council? They vote for a resolution that would submit Iran to sanctions if they did not comply, and now they are calling for that the threat of sanctions to be lifted??? I always thought the following notion was silly, but now I understand the sentiments behind it....
Hahahaha. O'Reilly is really out to lunch on this one.
I think O'Reilly says and does some pretty stupid things now and then, and up untill this time I thought this was one of them. Now I see the reasoning behind this.

Looks like someone is unable to make the difference between one country and this country's government, or president.
So every stupid comment Bush has made, every stupid decision Bush took is to blame on the whole United States and this country should be boycotted, right ?

France became a super pussy country...i mean, the country is almost bankrupted but nobody has the guts to do more than necessary administrative reforms. France needs some british pragmatism to take off.

France is awesome, compare what America contributed to the world and what France contributed, and France wins hands down

As far as this topic goes, I tend to generally think that economic sanctions are stupid. It doesn't help the people that need to have a job and it cuts off possible business alliances.

Care to elaborate?
Most of the world surpasses America in cultural achievements, so it isn't like it's that controversial of a statement.

So cutural achievements are above all other achievements? And isn't ranking cultural achievements nearly wholly subjective? And doesn't American-made entertainment do well across the globe?
C'mon man, I know you can back up your statements better.

I can't see how one can go wrong with a developed nation where belief in God is in the minority.
It's not like America doesn't contribute to global culture. The same nation that gave the world people like Thomas Edison and Bob Dylan also gave the world Pat Robertson and the Evangelical movement. And like 100 other horrible, horrible things like the atomic bomb and SUVs.

On a certain level, yes, because he was re-elected. We live in a Democracy where you have representatives at three levels of governace (executive, state and local). Your thinking is much like those faded, dog-eared bumper stickers I see now and then - "Don't blame me, I voted for Kerry." The thing about a democracy is that you are given a vote and freedom to speak your mind but, at the end of the day, you have to accept the leadership that has been elected. That's not to say you have to agree....but you can't divorce yourself from him or her because the person you voted for didn't win.
You have a problem with President Bush or any other elected representative of yours? Write letters to your representatives in congress.....write a letter to your local paper's editorial section....get a permit and protest....form a group that asserts your issues with how our government is conducting itself. But don't sit there and think you are divorced from it all because either you don't agree or feel that you have no say. Ever hear the expression - "The people have the power?" The French have it, as do you.
