The Gateway appreciates the efforts of all the cover artists out there, even the morons who bit off more than they could chew. Four of the most qualified music reviewers on staff have come together to honor the successes and belittle the failures inâ€¦

i really don't give a shit what they say, i was just kind of looking forward to people who will defend the band no matter what posting in here

This and Driven to Tears are the only covers I really like. Older RITFW was good but other than that, meh.

Of course, I hate the Beatles so...

Those reviews are always pathetic. I don't think it's a particularly strong cover, but it's OK. It's OK its probably my favorite cover by the way...just thought of it now.

Oh, no. No. No. Last Kiss or Seasons in the Sun are the worst cover songs EVER. YGTHYLA is NOWHERE near as excruciating as these. And to think...my band--PJ--covered one of them. It's kind of an arrow to the heart, ya know? I will never get over the humiliation and sheer ear pain, agony, suffering, wretchedness (utter), hurt, anguish, distress, woe, tribulation, hell...yes, martyrdom involved in hearing PJ play LK. :roll:

I used to think that way of RITFW too, but if you get a chance try and listen to a European version. There pretty inspired.

Worst: hungry like the wolf done by reel big fish (they rock except that one)

Just for a bit of perspective. to keep with beatles covers, this bird has flown has a version of drive my car by the donnas which stinks, the only good track on that album is Michelle by Ben Harper and that is a very very bad cover aswell.

I like eds version of hide your love away, and think its one of his better solo covers
