 Good interview with one of our smartest Presidents ever. Whether you agree with his opinions or not, there's no arguing that intellectually, he runs circles around our current Dope in Chief.

Click on "Listen" above the photo. There's not a transcript yet available since the interview just aired this morning.

Another part of the interview:

Apparently, they're doing it in pieces...

he's just so damned smart. he continues to impress me with his quick mind and how obvious it is when you hear him interviewed that he is still very plugged in to what's going on in the world and thinks & cares deeply about some very serious issues. and not only that, but he's actually DOING something about them, and helping others do the same.

bush DESERVES to be bashed. the man's a complete fucking idiot.

i respect clinton for his mind, something even my elementary school-age son can't say about W. if republicans and other clinton bashers would just let go of bill's dick, maybe they could see his many accomplishments.

But honey, it would appear that you have not "let go of his dick" quite yet by bringing him up. On the subject at hand, I could really care less of what Bill Clinton thinks on anything. I think he was an average president among a string of sub-par leaders. To be fair, President Bush has thus far been quite average as well.

If I ever become president, I aspire to be just like Bill Clinton. I'm gonna do nothing, get blowjobs from young interns, be quick and witty, have happy thoughts, and bight my lower lip when I say, "I feel your pain." Just so I can be loved when it's all said and done.

That's amazing how spot on your assesment of Clinton's 8 yrs in office is. Really hit the nail on the head.

Just think, the only MEANINGFUL thing that Clinton did while he was in office was pushed by Republicans, and fought by Clinton himself.

Clinton really did nothing. Not a thing.

I'm not going to deny Clinton's many accomplishments...he did a lot while in office and now in the private sector. I have a few issues with Clinton's job performance as President, but otherwise he did a good job.

That being said, I am very interested in what exactly makes President Bush a "fucking idiot." Is it his occasional verbal missteps during press conferences? How he has conducted the Worldwide War Against Terror? His approach to the economy? What?

Dont confuse being president during one of the most prosperous times in our countries history with not doing anything. That's kind of like saying, my mechanic sucks because my car didnt break down.

We had this discussion a while back on here. There are presidents who did the nation a mighty favor by not interfering much. At that time, I believe both Eisenhower and Clinton were mentioned. Sometimes the best course is to stay the course, and both of those men were fine examples of that.

how is my talking about his accomplishments even HINTING at some lingering thoughts about his transgression with monica lewinsky? please show me how you got that from anything i said, aside from reacting to juvenille posts, like yours.

actually, you've mentioned two of his adminstration's biggest blunders, but i'm talking about him, personally. it's pretty clear he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. he is incapable of having an intelligent conversation that's not scripted. i've seen him interviewed. he responds to questions like a 5th grader. he has shown a very dim understanding of world history, and certainly seems not to have any kind of intellectual curiosity. he's simple, and i don't mean that in a down-to-earth, regular guy kinda way. i mean the lights are on, but there ain't nobody home, padner.
