I haven't even bothered with the trailer, but I still know I'll go see it. Sad but true, it's TCM.
The remake was definitely nothing special but when I think of it as just another sequel I can deal with it. Anything is better than the Next Generation right?

I never saw the remake. This trailer just reminds me of the original, which I love.

I just downloaded TCM2 to watch tonight... i havent seen it in a year or more and since the Gruesome Edition is coming out I have to watch it to decide if it is worth dropping the cash on.
I actually liked the TCM remake. I just got the two disc special edition of that for 11.97 and although it isnt as good as the original it wasnt bad at all IMO.

So I don't want to get my hopes up, but early hype on this has been surprisingly strong. I'm trying to steer clear of spoilers, but I did check out this review:

Correct. Hell, I'd sooner own TNG before I'd own that horrible remake. If it was just going to be more of that shit, there was no way I would bother.
Now, it's a completley different story. This review really set my expectations high. This film better be fucking BRUTAL.

I don't think I'd get them too high, just go see it and hope to be pleasantly surprised. I think that's the only reason I could tolerate the remake at all was because my expectations were sub-Halloween Resurrection. I was just hoping they didn't put Leatherface in a tutu and have him endorse Dr. Pepper.
And while I didn't read the review, Bloody Disgusting gave it an 8/10 as well I believe.
