I couldn't find any "Ed rant-thread" when I used the search function... So I'll just start one. Please do lock this one up/merge it if there allready is such a thread.

Anyways: I just heard this rant for the first time in years today, and it gave me chills! So I just wanted to share it/remind you of it's existence...
You can find it on http://www.fivehorizons.com, but it's not possible to make a direct link to the mp3 for some reason...

07/10/98 - Cox Arena: San Diego, CA [134m]

You know, it’s so good to know that there’s a lot of high paid representatives that you and I, and a bunch of other people voted into office. They’ve a good job, with nice offices and nice leather chairs, and a limo to drive them around in vacations with their vives and kids. And that’s all fine and good. I’d like them to have a clear head when they make decisions regarding every one of us, each and every one of us. And I’m so glad to read that right now... Once again... They’re talkin’ about the problem... Of the burning of the flag... ‘Cause you know, if there is one thing that pisses me of everyday of my life... It’s walkin down the street and seeing all these flags burning. Everywhere I turn, this is the biggest fucking problem I’ve ever seen, and I’m fuckin’ sick of it! I can’t go out to get a cup of coffee without seeing a flag burning. I can’t go to a stadium, I can’t... There’s a flag burning everywhere, flag burning here! Flag burning there! It doesn’t matter that the oceans are going to complete shit! And you get sick every time you go surfing! There’s flags burning!! I don’t care about the environment, let it go to shit, let’s save the flag! LET’S SAVE THE FLAG!!!!

By The Way:
Has anyone got the whole song on mp3? In that case I would be glad to hear it, 'cause it sounds like the most intense RiTFW ever...

I'm not usually a fan of his rants (since I don't think ed is that funny) but that one's pretty good.

QUARTER RANT:
Someone was throwing quarters at Ed during Go at the 9/16/98 Mansfield, MA:

"Listen asshole, one more fucker throws a fuckin' quarter out here and we're outta here, I'm tellin' ya, FUCKER! What the fuck, you're blowin' it for fuckin' everybody. Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them. Thank you very much. Fuckin' idiot. Ah, that felt good, thank you."

it's not much of a rant, but i like the way he addresses the safety issue and the security staff in msg II 98. (paraphrasing) "hello, good evening, bunch of people, bunch of new yorkers, i know..." he says to the security staff, and then to the audience, that if they don't behave, it's gonna look like he's the asshole.
