Roethlisberger's overrated (other than win/loss, his statistics are not that great (which should determine OROY)) . . . I give OROY to Kevin Jones of Detroit. He became the third Lion (Barry Sanders and Billy Simms are the other two) to rush for over 1000 yards in his rookie season.

I don't know that Ben is overrated, but Jones is definitely being overlooked. He's having an amazing season, while missing a few games and playing injured in a few others. I knew he'd be good, but I would have placed large amounts of money on Williams being the star rookie, not Jones. Not that Roy has been a disappointment by any means.
Another one that was missed (although I guess it's not technically a major award, but deserves the mention:

Comeback Player of the Year: Drew Brees.
Im not to sure if this is an actual award in the NFL, but I was thinking this too. Drew Brees is a bad ass QB and the Bolts shouldnt get rid of him.
Yeah, I couldn't remember if this is an actual award given out, or just something by sports writers, but he deserves it nonetheless. Some team may be very lucky to pick up Brees in the offseason, although I think SD's best move at this point is to trade Rivers for a high draft pick to a team desperate for a QB.

If the Chargers dont do that, I'll give up on them forever.
no team is going to give up a high draft pick AND take on rivers' huge contract; the salary cap would give that team h-e-l-l,
Maybe so, but Brees is a proven winner and if the Chargers dont keep him as the starter they are just asking for another Ryan Leaf. They have there Manning now so why mess that up?

I'm happy that Brees proved Martyball wrong when he tried to blame him for all the Chargers' problems last year. Drafting one new QB and trading him for another was very stupid.
This is why I'll be a bit appalled if Schottenheimer gets Coach Of The Year. But I'll definitely peg Brees with the Comeback honors.
As a Broncos fan, I hope Brees bolts though. I would think Dallas would be interested in him or Rivers, seeing as they have two first rounders next draft.

Brees in Dallas would be sweet. I dont know the first thing about Phillip Rivers.
Personally, I thought he was the weakest of the four QBs drafted in the first round. Everyone was saying the Chargers were ripping off the Giants with that trade, but I thought it was pretty even.
