pinkerton and blue are both pretty much perfect records, so far as i'm concerned. i still listen to them all the time, and they always sound fresh.

I downloaded Pinkerton too, going to listen to that later.

I never realized how great a song 'Say It Ain't So' is.

Oh yea. Definitely some of the best pop albums ever. After that, though...

Though I will say, Keep Fishin' from Maladroit is one of my favorite singles the band has released.

it's actually the ten year anniversary of pinkerton's release today.

Those first two records are insanely good. Green album is also awesome. Deal with it.

I have no desire to hear anything post Pinkerton. Especially knowing that would mean I would have to listen to Island in the Sun. that song was terrible.

yep those 2 are pretty perfect.
i am one of the few people i think who also likes the other 3 albums. they are nowhere near as good, but each album has at least a couple tracks worth hearing.

plus, after green but before maladroit, they put out a shitload of demos on their website, and there was enough there to make an album of good tracks. superstar and hey domingo being 2 of my faves.

i remember that. there was this one song called "the dawn" and it was as good as some of the songs off blue. it was the best post-pinkerton song id heard by them....but it didnt even make the final batch of demos.

I'm surprised they didn't release a special/deluxe edition to celebrate, like they did with their first album.

But I agree, their first two albums are classics, and the green album is also enjoyable. And you won't find a better 90spop song than "Buddy Holly" imo.
