Anyone knows if Eddie ever heard that song and if so, how did he feel about it (lyrics, music …) or the fact that Local H was using his name to get attention?

I don't remember them getting any attention from that song. I still hear bound for the floor all the time though (for some odd reason).

I doubt he even knows it exists.

I think he'd know more about the Weird Al song about him.

I'm not even sure if the Local H song is even about him. I thought there was a thread about this that discussed this song and someone said that the song was about Scott Lucas' ex-girlfriend who had liked Eddie Vedder. I'm not sure if that's true or not. I really don't remember too well.

i happen to love this song and its basically about the relationship between two people and the girl wanting to be friends still and the guy saying he doesnt want it, asks her "if i were eddie vedder, would you like me any better?" and then tells her that "you'll go ahead, as good as dead"

do yourself a tremendous favor and pick up their second disc, pack up the cats. it's easily one of the best albums of the '90's.

Yeah that's what I mean. Eddie is just used as a reference, the song is really about Scott's ex. A lot of people seem to think the song is taking a shot at Vedder when it isn't.

The song "Hands on the Bible" and "Keep Your Girlfriend Away From Me" I really like. They are later song's well into the 2000's.

I think at moments they rival the other really famous two-piece band going today.

I actually like "As Good As Dead" a little bit more, but both are fantastic rock albums everyone should pick up, or at least give a listen to.

Lastly what I meant was the equal and ability part of rival, which is one of the definition of the word listed above. Once again I do not mean Duke vs. North Carliona.

i saw local h play a club in knoxville, tn. maybe 5 months after seeing pearl jam play the college campus arena in sept. '98, and after the show i asked then local h drummer joe daniels about it. he didn't have a specific explanation. it seemingly was kind of joke for them, but it didn't seem like they were trying to antagonize eddie. i guess the song could have easily been called "kurt cobain," or "layne staley," etc.

he did seem a tad put off when i told him how eddie had chastised the crowd for not being more into the concert... "...boring fucking towns like knoxville."
