Heard about this site on NPR today. Looks like a great non-partisan website.

They were talking about how the 30 second political add can mislead people. A couple of the examples they gave were:

- If you voted against a tax cut, you "voted for a tax hike."
- If there were 35 amendments to a tax increase bill, you "voted to increase taxes 35 times."
- Murtha was quoted as saying "America is a greater threat to security than Iran or North Korea." What he said was, "Opinion polls show that people some countries think that ..." but that part was edited out.

What, you forgot when Dick Cheney referenced factcheck.com in a debate, and then hours later the incorrect address ended up redirecting to a George Soros site? :haha:

i found this site pretty useful during the last election. they try to cut through some of the shit that the candidates throw out there at each other.
