people are making way to big a deal over this, as long as the money ends up in ccfa's hands i couldnt care less who organises it.
I don't know the real story at all, but IF it's true that the WF has lied to artists to make sure they don't back up the CaringFan guy, saying shit about his honesty and things like that, this is something to care about, don't you think ?

POSTED THIS IN THE 2006 POSTER THREAD AS WELL... The Wishlist Foundation is proud to announce that we will be producing the official CCFA Benefit posters for the Australian and Hawaiian legs of the Pearl Jam 2006 tour. Proceeds from the sales of the posters will be donated to the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
Below is a list of the amazing artists who will be creating posters for the series:
I do not know if the European posters will become a reality now.
Or Australia.
Or Hawaii.
Here is why-
Someone else doing charity work for the same cause, a "fan" I was told, contacted the NW CCFA that I was working with on these all along and suggested that I should have about $40k more in donations than I have for them, based on 200 posters per run at $20 per. Funny thing about this accusation is that not all posters were produced at 200 pieces, nor were all sold, or all sold at $20 per.
This blind accusation also does not take into account materials, damaged prints (a large number), printing, operating costs, etc.
Ironically enough that same week, people from the Wishlist Foundation started contacting printers (that I use) and artists saying that they are going to be producing "official" CCFA posters, and that mine are not. Very ironic. I start to get discredited as other posters start being planned by someone else all of the sudden, clearly knowing I had plans for more. This has caused one printer to suggest that they would not produce my posters that I had slated, and another artist that agreed to do the Australian posters to back out yesterday. Same of you might know him; his name is EMEK. Yes, EMEK was to design the Australian posters. Information has also been passed along that "the money for the fundraiser is not making it to the charity" and thereby putting my integrity and hard work on these in question, and again raising doubt on involvement by printers and artists.
There has been a long standing agreement between me and the NW CCFA that was established in late May that the donation would be made in September. I am just today making payment on the last invoice as I just received it last night. I can now finish my cost accounting and make the donation, as was always the plan. All was fine until the incorrect and slanderous whispers started about my possible intentions with the funds, or lack there of. Next thing I knew I was starting to get pressured for the check from the NW CCFA, the same chapter that gave me permission to use "CCFA" on the prints from Day 1, making them official. I reiterated that September was the agreed upon donation window and that I intend to keep to that. I also asked if there were any questions as to my accounting or operations, and was told no, and that everyone was happy with my efforts and my direction. Two days later I started receiving emails saying that lawyers would start getting involved in this matter, and that the National Headquarters was in an uproar over the posters. Very peculiar and contradictory.
I have nothing to hide, and never have. I have kept full accounting records and all email exchanges between myself and relevant people involved all along the way with these just in case. I then contacted the National Headquarters in NYC and discussed this with them so to address any concerns directly with them at the source. They had no idea what I was even talking about and said that there was no problem, as opposed to what I was told. Conflicting information no doubt, but I will take the word of the National office over a local chapter that is no doubt bluffing me unnecassarily with lawyer's due to fan based tattle tales simply looking to sabotage and steal my idea and take over my project.
I have never done any of this for personal profit or gain, so it is sad that it comes to this. I have done this as a Crohn's sufferer and McCready supporter as a Pearl Jam fan. Yes, there were shipping delays at some point based on matters that had nothing to do with my organizational structure, but all else has been on point otherwise from a one person venture perspective I feel.
Undermining a charitable effort that you supposedly proclaim to want to support is no way to go about needing to have your hand in everything and take control of what someone else is already doing for the same cause. Simply classless and there is no need for it. The personal attack that has resulted from the questioning of my integrity is simply unacceptable and I am ready and willing to defend myself at all costs. This has all boiled down to borderline slander.
I've learned a lot about "charity" in the past few weeks. Good cause or not, it is apparently just as cut throat as for-profit business.
I appreciate all the support, understanding and encouragement that I have received from all of you during the last few months.
As of now any future posters are on hold indefinitely until I can resolve some of these issues that would not have been had it not been for some ill willed individuals simply jealous of my efforts.
Thank You
Sean
UPDATE:
I have just learned that the Wishlist Foundation officially posted on the Pit about their posters. I guess EMEK bailed on me based on lies to design for them. They don't want people replying negatively in the thread over there so that they can't be called out on the lies and their deceitful ways to do this. I hate drama, and I hate politics, but this is just low.

The poster insanity is completely out of control at this point. It has gone from flipping them on ebay to people who run there charities going after each with these accusations. I don't know who to believe, but this is a fucking joke at this point. I wonder if I will even get my SF poster at this point.
(I'm assuming you're also banned over there... seems that our slap fight wasn't appreciated... oh well... nice to see you... i've missed you ...kind of like hemorroids)
