I have been feeling this way for a little while now, and it is so depressing. All I do is see the headline and the death of a girl for no fucking reason whatsoever. Saying it is ashame or sad doesn't even begin to tell it. It's just fucking disgusting.

I'm perplexed as to how something like this still makes the news

middle-aged man walks into quiet high school with gun, claims he has bomb on his back, takes 6 female students hostage, kills one of them, then kills himself.

how is that NOT news? it's a parent's worst nightmare.

Hey, if it happened to white girls in the suburbs, I guess it's important.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree with this. If you could point to an instance where this happened to black girls in the inner city and it was not covered widely by the media, I'd be livid too.

The national news media were the ones barking up the wrong tree. They were having "breaking news" coverage AFTER the situation sorted itself out. Who fucking cares? They're just scaring people into buying more guns. Lock up your children, America. If it weren't for the war and the elections, this would be all over the news for the next week.

'American gunman kills 6 in high school, then shoots self' is right up there with other headlines like 'Lots of Muslims get riled up over something some people did in some small country', 'Michael Jackson does something seriously wrong', and 'Palestine is one big clusterfuck'.

It might be news, but it's most definitely not new.

Actually it's because the NRA gives mad money to the Republican party.

Politics are all just one big bank account (well, two accounts actually).

If the NRA had historically given mad money to the Democratic party, then we'd see them backing gun rights and the Republicans taking the opposite position.

It's all just a big farce...and the parties only believe in and support whichever cause happens to be stuffing their respective pockets at the time.

Holy crap! Bammer just formulated an opinion!? Did he? Yes, it appears so. He engaged in a debate!
