there's a lot of bands much like them (meaning younger bluegrass inspired types of bands) that haven't gotten much recognition for whatever reason. I can't believe that some of these bands can be so talented and never really make it big.

if sterling is anywhere near chicago i recommend seeing the biscuit burners. they're a bluegrassy type of band from just over the mountain near asheville. they are all amazing musicians and the two girls that share the vocals are really good. they'll be playing at the old town school of folk music on nov.18 opening for tony rice.

sterling is quite a drive, and I'm at school right now, which is closer but I dont have a car, so if I can find a way to get to chicago, I'm definitely going to go check it out

I might go see yonder on the 20th and 21st I dont know my chances, but i would really love to see this band live

Yes, absolutely, an extremely fun band to listen to. I don't have any of their studio albums, but I have a live recording and some random tracks. Great band.

I saw them open for Trey Anastacio and i thought they were awesome for the first half hour, but I got bored for all their songs sounded the same.

I finally got to go see these guys last night and it was a fun show. I cut out in the middle of the second set because I was feeling like shit, but I'd definitely see them again. The crowd was probably the best part.

I've been on a huge Yonder kick lately, after Telluride last month. Saw them twice at the festival, and downloaded all three of their performances from the internets.

For some reason I wasn't aware of yondermountainlive.com, so I downloaded the two AZ shows I attended last year (Tempe and Flagstaff), and just realized that there is a total of one (1) song that was played at both shows. And both shows were almost three hours long. These guys have an absolutely ridiculous repertoire.
