Anybody catch this confrontation the other morning? Apparently O & A's show ran long and the show after them got mad about it. They ended up threatening each other and yelling for like an hour. It was great radio and i sat in my car for an hour listening to it. O & A is still good but nowhere near as good as they were 5 years ago. Plus their egos are pretty annoying. JV and Elvis are pretty good, been listening to them for a couple of months now. I actually enjoy them more than O & A. Plus they were ripping the hell out of O & A during their argument. JV calling Opie "nothing but a Board Op" was great. I wonder if this means the end of JV and Elvis cause Free Fm is all over O & A's jock. I sure hope not.

I think i cuaght that they said at the end of their show to go listen to Whoopi or some classic rock.

what happened was Anthony had a major personal issue, that he was dealing with on air, and they had a guest in studio (pedro from napoleon dynamite), and they barely got to talk to the guest. They decided (and management agreed) to give them a half hour over, to try and give the FM audience a resolution, and get at least sometime in with the guest...
so 5 minutes to 9, anthonys situation got resolved, and they did about 15 minutes with the guest.... They thanked JV and Elvis for letting them run over.
JV and Elvis came on bitching about how uncompelling their interview was and how they wanted to go back to san fransisco... basically using this issue as a way to vent all their management problems. They said they respect O&A, and that O&A didnt show them any respect.
When O&A got to XM, they heard about this and called them.... and they were discussing it, and then JV and Elvis basically pulled out the " you're no howard stern" and tried to use the old radio trick of "Stop cursing" after dumping out of a rant, with no curses... Then they basically admitted to lying about respecting the O&A show, called Opie a board op, and started having the same callers calling over and over to praise them and bash O&A.
O&A overreacted, but JV and Elvis were pretty pathetic as well... whatever the case, it was compelling radio.

Both shows are annoying O&A are just jerks and the whole Doghouse thing with JV and Elvis is lame, too. and i hate whoever has that super annoying laugh on JV and Elvis too. sounds like a clown.
I prefer Radio Chick and Danni and Jackie on FreeFM anyday.

O and A are better than any other radio show out there.
A couple of reasons that they have good radio is that they don't do "hack" radio like everyone else in Philly and NYC. The other shows all have "holes" on them who offer nothing at all to the show except one word responses like "right", "yeh", "guys".
They also don't have that one guy in the studio who's job it is to laugh obnoxiously at every other sentence that is said. The Kid Chris show is littered with that and it is unlistenable.
They also don't do the hacky October is Roctober or guy gas for $94.10 kinda stuff.
I just think they are geniune and intriguing radio. Yes, their egos and some of their stuff falls flat for me at times, but that is with anything out there, but they are by far that best radio show.
And for the record Knight Rider, Preston and Steve aren't very good.

O & A are still great, today's show was hilarious, but for me it's all about Ron and Fez. That is the funniest shit I have ever heard in my life. My day feels fucked up if I don't listen to R & F.

I have never really listened to them, but my friend loves them. He said it takes a little while to get into them, but once you do you really enjoy the show.
