North Korea says it will stage nuke test
AP - 2 hours, 6 minutes ago
SEOUL, South Korea - North Korea announced Tuesday that it will conduct a nuclear test in the face of what it claimed was an "extreme threat of a nuclear war" by the United States. The declaration provoked alarm and condemnation from leaders around the world. The United States warned a North Korean nuclear test "would pose an unacceptable threat to peace and stability" and the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations raised the issue during a Security Council meeting. The council agreed to hold further discussions on Wednesday after consulting capitals.

yeah, I hope they wear protective gear....because if their "nuclear technology" is as nice as the guidence system on those missles, there are going to be some severely mutated Siberian Cariboo(sp) and you do not want to F with a mutated mule deer with really big horns, no matter what side of the parallel you live on.

Severe threat... ha ha ha. Severe threat of cutting the fucking gravy train off and that's about it.

Does North Korea have enough room for an above ground test? I would think this would be an underground test, especially seeing how the North Koreans have a great affinity for tunnels.

If Japan does have an Aegis system they should shoot down the next missile that North Korea launches, just to demonstrate that the status quo hasn't changed all that much.

For some reason this made me laugh out loud. Like everday North Koreans just hang out loving tunnels.

NK #1: Hey, man. Know what?
NK #2: What?
NK #1: I have, like, a great affinity for tunnels, man.
NK #2: Huh?
NK #1: Tunnels, man.
NK #2: Yeah.

Favorite North Korean pasttime: Dig tunnel
Favorite North Korean video game: Tunnel Dig '06

From what I've read, there isn't much of a "gravy train"...The Kim Family Regime is in its death throes, and they're getting desperate. My fear is that something is going to happen, and it's going to be rash and violent. And even if those "Taepo dong" missiles or whatever they're called can't hit the US, Japan and S. Korea are within range...and that's not even accounting for mutated mule deer!
