Funny you say that. I'm sitting right now here trying to explain to my girl how pissed off a lot of Yanks fans were when Torre was first hired and how it's a minor miracle that Steinbrenner has gone this long without firing his manager.
He is a class act, but he'll still collect $7 mil next year, so I can't really feel for him.

He has his flaws as a manager, but it's not his fault the offense has no chemistry from the front office just adding an All-Star (or two) to the roster every year, or that aside from Wang they haven't developed any pitching since Rivera.
