Interesting, apparently it was a 6.6 and was centered on the west coast of Hawaii. I wonder if it caused any damage on the other islands.

It seems kinda wierd that Hawaii would have an earthquake as it's not on the edge of a tectonic plate, but my geology teacher did mention back in the day that the big island is kind of falling apart.

annoyed that this got more coverage than the buffalo snow storm. my parents still live there and still don't have power. 380,000 homes didn't have power with temperatures in the 30's.

No power for a day in hawaii and it's like 80 degree. Go figure.

i would surmise the thinking is, buffalo gets snow, and lots of it, hawaii, yea, not so many earth quakes
