hahhaha. This isnt supposed to be funny, but it is. After reading this thread, I took one of those lame Quiz things online that's supposed to tell you what religion you lean towards.

Quote:
You scored as Satanism.

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Satanism 67%

agnosticism 63%

atheism 63%

Paganism 58%

Judaism 42%

Buddhism 33%

Islam 29%

Christianity 25%

Hinduism 8%

Here is the quiz, for anyone else who wants to take it:

That's interesting Kevin. I honestly would have pegged you as a leaning towards being a buddhist, if I didnt already know you.

Why is that?

I would have pegged you for a Vulcan...

or the Easter Bunny.

You've got the vibe. I dunno. I guess you remind me a lot of a good friend of mine who is buddhist.

Personally, I find buddhism a very interesting religion. Much more so than any other.

I also find buddhism very fascinating. I have a lot of respect for Buddhists.

I'm actually ashamed that I showed up as even 21% Christian. The morals spoken of in the bible are great, but the thought of being a christian by todays standards makes me sick to my stomach.

There should be a separate thread for this quiz, seriously.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok I took the quiz again. I realized a lot of the questions could be taken out of context. For example, yes there could be beings greater than humans, but when I answered yes to that question the first time I was thinking about other sentient life that is much more advanced than us in the universe; obviously this is not applicable to the quiz and has nothing to do with religion. So I changed a couple answers to only reflect my religious tendencies since some of them can be viewed in different ways. Of course, nothing really changed that much.
Quote:
You scored as atheism.
You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.
That's how I feel about how mine came up, except regarding Islam.
You scored as agnosticism.
You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.
Hence how poorly I scored for Judaism. :lol:
would it be safe to say Hinduism and Judaism are the low runners here?
And wtf is with me scoring high in Islam? I don't want 7 virgins when I die, I just want 1.
Interesting, but not far off from what I thought I would get. I put a lot of middle answers for questions that I felt couldn't be answered with agree or disagree. Surprised by Islam, not really by Buddhism, and I'm about as Christian as I am a Satanist. :o
