 Post subject: Ripping a CD???

Usually i use Windows Media Player to rip a CD to WMA files.

But I was trying to rip green day's American Idiot and it wont let me.

any other programs or anyhting that can help me?

Some CDs have different "copy protection systems" that unfortunately don't allow them to be played/read on computers.

I didn't try to bypass those protections myself, but I know that at least with some of them it can be done with software like Nero.

MusicMatch 7.x is great. Everything afterwards I could care less for.

Oh, when you load your cd, hold down the shift key until it's finished loading. You'll be able to rip it then.

Also, you might want to ditch the WMV format. The MPAA & RIAA are going to star using the WMV format to pass on spyware/adware.
