peanut butter.
i've tried every trap known to humans. they either take the food off the trap and it doesn't go off, or they bypass the traps all together.

glue traps worked for me. but they can't be wimpy small ones. upon trapping them, make sure you throw them out the window like a frisbee.

just use rat poison
mix some with peanut butter on a plate and then leave it out...the only bad thing is that they could die somewhere random..but they'll be gone
i've considered that, too, but then what if they die in some corner i can't get to? and it starts smellin' real bad?

Don't worry, they'll likely end up dying in the walls where you don't have a chance at reaching them. The good news is that I belive that the poison dries them right up so I don't think they smell really. Could be wrong though, I've never shared my living spaces with dirty critters before.
