Alright, since many particiapted in and enjoyed the album countdown, I figured we might as well do this. Plus, this is going to be a hell of a lot easier to keep track off. I expect that everyone who voted for the album list is going to be in this as well, and I hope that a lot more users will participate since it is a lot easier to list your favorite artists than your favorite individual releases.

Same deal as the album countdown, except you're going to submit 20 artists rather than albums (sorry, I don't feel like taking any more than that). One entry per user obviously, but there are a couple of things I'd like to note:

-No Pearl Jam. They will be #1. There is no mystery there. If you have a boner for Bayleaf and you want to vote for Stone Gossard, go nuts. That brings me to my next point...
-If you'd like to vote for Eric Clapton, for example, then that vote will reflect Clapton as a solo artist. If you want to vote for Blind Faith or The Yardbirds or any other group he has taken part in, then one of your votes will have to be specifically for that band. That being said, you can vote for something like The Beatles and all four members individually, but it will have to occupy 5 different spots on your list. So just keep in mind that both Soundgarden and Audioslave could appear on the countdown if you'd like to vote for both (all you Cornell nuthuggers out there  )
-Again, the criteria for your list is entirely up to you. Even if an artist had their first release a month ago, you can still vote for them.
-I'm gonna ask that you rank them again. But this time I'm going to record the entries in two ways - one with points (20 for a #1 vote....) and one for tallies (an artist gets 1 tally regardless of where they appear on the list). I'm curious to see how that will play out and if there are albums that have 40 points and only two tallies, and there is another with 20 tallies but less than 40 points...then I'll show you guys the tally list instead. Man, that sound really fucking confusing. All in all, rank your shit again.

I guess use this thread to ask questions. You can PM me your list whenever you are ready. Oh, I'm also not gonna delete the spreadsheet liek I did last time so that I can show how many total points or tallies the artist had.

Yes. Favorites. This isn't a best list, just as the last one isn't a best list either. Favorites, people, favorites.

Don't be afraid to vote for rap stuff, assholes. I'm disappointed that 36 Chambers didn't make the album list

I'm gonna use my top 20 this time around. I'm thinking about it now.

Mine was favorites. The ordering was pretty random, though.

I might as well mention that I recommend you don't show your lists until the countdown starts to add that element of surprise.

I just looked through my itunes and made note of my favorites and I now have a list of 31 in front of me. It's gonna be tough narrowing that down.

Perhaps...but on the album list they had both the #1 and #2 spot. If The Beatles or Dylan or something would be #1 with PJ included, that wouldn't come as a real "surprise" to me.
