The first one was fun, I can't wait to see this one. Sounds like basically the same storyline, except this time it's a bunch of chicks playing the main characters 8) , and the location is different.

Quote:
Three young Americans studying in Rome set off for a weekend trip when they run into a beautiful model from one of their art classes. Also on her way to an exotic destination, the gorgeous European invites the coeds to come along, assuring them they will be able to relax and rejuvenate. Will the girls find the oasis they are looking for? Or are they poised to become victims for hire, pawns in the fantasies of the sick and privileged from around the world who secretly travel here to savor more grisly pursuits?

imdb says he's directing a Baywatch movie, and British uber hottie Keeley Hazell will be starring. I don't care how potentially bad this could be, I'll be watching just for the titties

In my 2 month backpacking trip, Rome was the only city I hooked up in.

I thought this was going to follow the character from the first one and his descent into madness?

Disappointing. :(

Wasn't overly impressed with the first Hostel. There were good parts, but I think the parts that could have potentially been the best were boring because all we saw was the victim screaming. I saw it two nights ago, and the farther away I get from it, the more I like it, because some of the images really do stick with you. I'll watch this second one.

He better go blood over tits this time. I want gore when I watch a movie like this, not sex and nudity!

But with the new cast, this doesn't sound very likely at all.

For real. I'm sure he'll deliver on both counts. If anything I could see the sex being toned down before the gore. He seems to make movies for the fans so I doubt he'll disappoint by pussing out though.

And Jay Hernandez will be back for part of the film, though I suspect it's only in the beginning because Eli said it would start literally the next frame after the first one ended. So he probably gets killed off somehow.

I didn't make it to Italy. Although I wish I had. I visited Paris and all of Germany and hooked up there. It was a good time.

Am I the only one who thinks Eli Roth sucks? He's overrated and offers nothing new or groundbreaking to the genre. I love horror films and I think Roth makes very substandard attempts.

As did I, and Hostel as well. I'm not trying to say the guy's a genre savior or anything (that'd be Alexandre Aja), but he makes stupid, bloody, fun movies that are a helluva lot better than 95% of other horror movies coming out these days.

I'd be more impressed with Aja if he wrote something original. He's all style at this point.

Hostel was decent, but I had really high hopes for it, and it fell short. I expect the second one to be better, so I'll probably go see it.
