If you are not Australian or Irish, you won't have a clue what this is. Basically, it's a hybrid game. The rules are a combination of Australian rules football and Gaelic football. Contact is allowed. But, because the two respective nations are hard as fuck, they do not wear padding. One major difference between the two teams is the fact that the Aussies are all professionals, whereas, the Irish are all amateurs.

It's a two game series. The winners being the ones with the highest aggregate score at the end of the second match. The first game was won tonight by Ireland. 48-40. A good second match looks on the cards.

As a former Gaelic football player, I can only tell you about that game. It was exceptionally tough. At the end of the game, your rib cage was bruised, your head hurt, and you felt like shit. But that was only if we won. So I've got the deepest respect for these guys.

Check it out if you like your sport hard.

I would suggest doing a quick search on You Tube to find out more.

I've saved you any bother. The link is HERE

Fact: New York is the " county" with the most money in the entire GAA.

It has more members than any other "county in the GAA".

BTW, in the GAA New york is considered a county of Ireland. So are all the counties of Britain and Australia.

I'm not Australian or Irish and I know about this, it's cool. Last years competition produced major biffo, which is ideal.

They handled it OK last year. They won the series by 38 points.

Is that what it was? I, and the rest of Ireland, thought it was thuggery. You aren't allowed to go around punching people in Gaelic football. Although it happens, you get a big ban though. Like 6-10 months out. That's what's different this year. Any sending off results in ban in your own league when that starts again. There was never a deterrent before. I am, however, expecting fireworks next Sunday. It should be a good game.
