Great, great band from Denton, TX. They have a single floating out there, Roscoe, and it's getting some solid college radio play.

Anyone a fan?

This bandwagon passed through here a few months ago.

And yes they have quite a few fans here including me.

Huh, I did a search, and didn't see much, other than an occasional comment in another thread topic.

Anyways, this is one of my favorite albums of 2006. Lush, melodic, and dreamy.

They sound ALOT like Rumours era Fleetwood Mac.

But their songs are very solid - second half of the album is a bit dodgy but the first half is really strong. Roscoe and Head Home are fine songs.

they're amazing.

get their new album, "the trials of van occupanther"...

THEN, if you like them, pick up the first record and the EP. a lot of people havent heard the EP (titled 'milkmaid grand army') but its absolutely mindblowing and doesnt sound anything like their full lengths. much more pop sounding. its actually a shame they havent gone more in the direction of their EP, if they did they'd be a hell of a lot more popular than they are now.

I've been listening to Van Occupanther for a while, it isn't bad. Not spectacular, but good. Not really my favorite style though.

The only song I have heard is "Home" and I really really like it. It has kind of a Fleetwood Mac road trip feel to it.

Yeah, Roscoe is the best on the album, but the rest certainly grew on me.

Just bought trials of Occupanther. I missed them touring UK :(

I also found the Kingfish Pies CD single in a used record store next to my halls of residence, for £1, so I have that too :)

Heard one of their earlier records from when they were a Grandaddy tribute band. I am glad they discovered Rumours and the Bread anthology.
