just saw a commercial. two kids are playing video games, the post-intro, pre-verse Porch-esque part of Severed Hand is played/is playing on the video game--Matt's drumming is unmistakeable. could not have lasted more than a 2 seconds.
then the video game starts talking to the kids and some moral about playing video games is given.
and then some other really bad song is played.
has anyone seen this commercial, OR heard about licensing for Severed Hand.
(I'm watching the Suns v. Lakers; it's 3rd quarter 4 minutes left)

There's always the chance that it's a sound-alike, commercials use stuff like that all the time. I haven't seen anyone else talking about this here or on Synergy, so you may be mistaken.

I was always under the impression that they didn't really care who played their music, so long as the people asked. That's why, I figured, they allowed Yellow Ledbetter to be played on Friends....
