Saw them when they were in the UK earlier in the year.....one of the best full on rock gigs for years. Took me back to my youth...enjoy the show.

Enjoy the show tonight, I saw them in Dublin, Ireland this year and they were great. Let's hope Chinese Democracy see's the light of day sooner rather than later. The new song Better is a great track.

I saw their show last thursday in Greensboro. Even though it took them well over an hour to take the stage following the opener (during which almost everyone thought it would be cancelled), and even though probably 1/3 or more of the crowd left before the show ended (at 2 AM), I had a great time. Axl was much better than I thought he would be, they played for over 2 hours, they played all the songs the crowd wanted to hear plus a few others, and it was a lot of fun. 6 hours was an awful long time to be at a rock concert though, I'll tell you that much.

How the fuck did I drive right past that arena Thursday afternoon and not realize G "n" Fucker R were playing there that night. I must of had my head up my ass. I was passing through on business and could have easily made the show.....although the 8:00 am flight out of Raleigh the next morning might have been tough.

wow i had the EXACT same experience...
GNR didnt take the stage till like 11:30 (which i thought is past curfew) and then played like 2 hours and twenty minutes...

i think some people actually left BEFORE GNR even played... thinking they would never come out... and ALOT of people left before the show ended... it was just too late for them i guess.
they made you wait an hour before they came out AND the whole show didnt start till 8:30 which is later than most concerts start... they should have started at 6:00 :) i have to say by the end i was really ready to leave cuz i still had a two hour drive... ugh...

I've got my tickets for next Monday night, the 13th in Baltimore, I can't wait!! I've been waiting to see them for like 18 years, more than half my life!
They are my "holy grail" band....never got the see them "back in the day"...came close in 2002, but then they cancelled the DC tour date after the Philly no-show.... :(
I am planning to sleep past noon next Monday, so I will have no problems driving back the 3 hours to Richmond when the show ends at 2am...

i have GA tickets to the Dec. 11 show at the Everett Events Center, which is a medium-size ice rink in Everett. Everett calls itself the "All American City" and is arguably home to more Camaros, mullets and meth than any other city in Washington. Guns N fucking Roses coming to Everett is like Mohammed strolling through the Kaaba in Mecca during Ramadan (I hope to God that doesn't offend anybody...)
I've been a GNR fan since my older brother loaned me his Appetite tape when I was in second grade. I had floor tix to the Vancouver show in 2002 when Axl no-showed and the crowd rioted. I'm expecting this to be one of the greatest shows I'll ever see.

Don't try wearing a belt to the show, they take them away there.

Thanks for the advice. As I fully intend to be front and center, I think I'm going to avoid wearing anything that could end up somehow hurting me...

How's the sound inside? I've only ever been there for Disney on Ice shows (I have a 4-year old nephew...)

It sounds like a rock show in a hockey arena. lol

I've been to a few shows there, and only because they didn't play Seattle. Key Arena has a better sound to it in my opinion, but it sounds like you're not going to care too much since it's a show you really want to see. I think you will leave happy. :)

If I hadn't seen them in '93, then I would probably be trying to score MSG tix. However I did, thankfully; and the band isn't GnR without Slash.
Not to knock anyone who has seen 'em, I'm sure it's a great show. This same logic hasl also kept around $500 or so dollars in my pocket for not seeing the 'stones without Mick Taylor.
Listening to a 'stones rehearsal from '97, and I will admit Mick sounds absolutely mint.
