"Life Wasted" seems like the kind of song that could win a Grammy. I don't know enough about other rock albums that came out this year, but the album's got a shot. I'm gonna answer yes on this.

Best Dostoyevsky book imo. Make sure you are reading an edition with the chapter "At Tikhon's", that was excluded on the original edition.
It does have that chapter, and I've heard the story behind it being excluded. I am enjoying it, especially the second half, but it's gonna be tough for any book to top Brothers K.
And to keep this post on topic...I think another thing that will help get the album or a song off it get nominated is the body of positive reviews out there for the record. The ones I read were overwhelmingly positive, and so many of them included statements like "a return to form" or "the best album since XXX," so that might be something the nominating committee would like to tap into.
