I've been listening to Daydream Nation tonight, a few times through, and there is just something about this song.

All it is is a random phone message, but it gives me such a feeling of overwhelming sadness, but about what, I could not tell you.

i think its starkly beautiful. i kind of feel like i'm inside a hot air balloon when i listen to it.

it doesn't make me sad, really, though i see how it could make you sad. it makes me want more.

If you've been to Providence, Rhode Island it makes perfect sense.

I tried recording songs to my voicemail, it doesnt work very well. Just a lot of fuzz and feedback.

After listening again, i think it's due in part to the keys, but thats not all of it. Just something about the song leaves me with a longing, and a big desire to cry. :cry: Im such a pansy. :wink:

Really? Im not a big fan of Total Trash myself, but I think Providence is an amazing lead into Candle.

I couldn't imagine the album without it. That being said, I just don't think it's nearly as good as the other tracks.

Oh ok. Thats exaclty how I feel about Total Trash. You couldn;t put Erics Trip and Hey Joni back to back.
