well the chiefs lost and had a real shitty season,
but Tony Gonzalez the best TE to ever play the game period sets the new receptions record with 101 catches,
congratulations TONY G.

Shannon Sharpe > Tony G

(I am required to say this because I am a Broncos fan.)

Still, Tony G's an awesome player. I'd say he's probably my favorite Chief. Congrats.

96 by Ben Coates, and my mistake TG has 102 receptions,
and Shannon Sharpe although very good is really nowhere near TG.

How many did Gates from SD have? I thought he was leading the league in receptions, or maybe that was earlier in the year :?

nowhere near, now sharpe is a sure fire hall of famer but TG is just above and beyond any TE to play the game.
now sharpe's better in one aspect. super bowl rings, but TG well have one soon.

ouch!!!! the chiefs had a year where everything went wrong, but i promise a winning season next year, and if we can get a Corner watch out because the LB's and DE's are playing better we were ranked 12th against the run it's just our corners.

The Chiefs did have a lot of problems this year, but they really need that D to step up to be contenders in a tough AFC and a tough West Division (well, except for the Raiders, they suck, as you and I both know 8)). And they are going to need some new players--one coaching change won't get it done.

He set the record for TDs by a tight end, maybe that's where you're getting confused. I've always liked Gonzalez, so congrats to him. Although, I think a lot of passing/receiving records may be broken with the new "no contact" rules in the near future.

Those new "no contact" rules suck. Way way way too many.
