INFO

WHAT IS HORRORFEST?

Horrorfest is a weekend of horror films that are considered to graphic or too disturbing for general audiences. After Dark Films will release "8 Films to Die For" (plus one bonus film) for one weekend only in approximately 500 theaters around the United States.

WHAT DOES HORRORFEST COST?

Tickets are sold individually at the normal theater pricing of your local theaters. Please CLICK HERE (THEATER LISTINGS) for theaters in your area showing Horrorfest.

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?

Tickets for Horrorfest are available at the box office on the day of the showings. Where theaters have advance ticketing on the Internet, we have linked to those theaters. Just select the dates and purchase tickets in advance. CLICK HERE for a listing of theaters, with links to purchase tickets.

WHEN ARE SHOWTIMES?

Showtimes for Horrorfest may vary slightly from theater to theater, so check your local theater listings. For the general schedule of Horrorfest movies and showtimes, CLICK HERE. (Showtimes)

HELP, HORRORFEST IS NOT PLAYING IN MY AREA!

We are still adding theater listings, but unfortunately, not every city in America will get to see Horrorfest. Please check back to see if your city has been added.

This will never play here, but I have to admit, it does have me mildly interested.

ahh. the one down side. theaters will be charging normal admission for each show. it seems like these would be discou nted or at least specially priced if you buy tickets to all of them.

Yea, and it seems like certain theaters are playing certain films. Weak.

They look pretty creepy, though.

I saw this on the trailers for TCM the Beginning, came home and checked the site and didn't even see WV listed. Over the weekend I noticed they were running ads for it on tv here which I thought was strange if we weren't even getting it in this state, so I checked again and we are in fact getting this! I wish there was a pass you could buy but I guess I'll just catch the ones I can. I'm definitely hitting Dark Ride and hopefully the Gravedancers. I'm iffy on Penny Dreadful and the Hamiltons, and one of my buddies wants to see Wicked Little Things so I may go with him for that. I definitely think it's a cool idea though. I'm probably calling in sick Friday to get a head start on it.

Same here and a damn fine idea. I'll try to hit matinees if at all possible. That's a lot of movies for one weekend, but I love the idea and I have to support it. In this state, if you don't then you won't be seeing anything like it again soon. I'm sure it's the same way in Johnson City. Nice town, but it doesn't seem to get much action either.

Now I am fucking pissed off that I can't see this. :x

I couldn't get the trailer for that one to work. It's good I'm guessing?

I couldn't play the trailer either, but Cerda made "Aftermath" and "Genesis", which are both really fucking good.

I saw Dark Ride last night, it was pretty much what I expected from the trailer, good, dumb slasher fun. I think more than anything I just liked the concept of it being in a dark ride, I love those things. It was nothing special, but I'm glad I went. Today is the Gravedancers for me, maybe something else depending on how I feel.

I couldn't make it. Or maybe it's playing tomorrow, I'm not sure. I just felt terrible today and only made it to one, the Gravedancers, and it was awful. I mean, laughably bad in spots. Oh well. Isn't the Abandoned part of a trilogy or something though? I haven't seen any of his stuff.

It's a stand-alone film.

Anyway, this is definitely more on the conventional supernatural horror side than Cerda's previous stuff, along the lines of Silent Hill. However, it definitely has touches of originality and there's plenty of intellectual content to chew on. But most importantly, this is only the second film I have ever seen to ever scare the sweet fucking motherofmaryjosephjesus out of me. You know how supernatural horror stuff usually creeps you out and then gives you a long breather before doing it again? Yeah, Cerda will have no part of that. This movie is relentless. It just assaults you and never stops. Whenever you think the thing is about to let up, it hits you again, sometimes even harder than before. By the time this thing was approaching the end, I could barely take it. I honestly wanted it to stop. That's how bad it was.

Cerda's got some serious talent.

That said, I'm gonna put it at a B. Why? Because I was too busy pissing myself to enjoy it at a B+-A- level.

I love being creeped out. I'll try to check this one out at the next available opportunity.
