Yep, everyone has to by law. I had to in 1994 when I turned 18.

My roommate freshman year didn't sign up for the "selective" service. If they offered bounties I would have totally turned him in!

I did it when I turned 18.

Now, I'm out of shape and 29...

But if they do try to get me in there, I have a degree in Psychology. I can fake mental illness.

If not, I'll move to Canada. 'nuff said.

It's the precursor to the draft. It's how they track who is eligible should they choose to have implement a draft.

Also, only males have to register once they are 18. I think females can voluntarily register though (I'm not positive on that though).

Off of the Red Mosquito Forum because its filled with communists who would make excellent cannon fodder...

If you legitimately believe that the Bush administration is going to institute a draft to fight in a war which the majority of Americans view as a mistake you need your fucking head examined.

P.S. selective service = draft
We dont need a schemantics argument I think we can agree on this one.

I must remember that I'm out of my fucking head more often then I guess. If it wasn't something this administration had in the back of its collective head they would put an end to making it mandatory to register.
You know what Chekov says right? If there's a gun in the beginning of a story, sooner or later, the gun is going to be used.
Maybe he was out of his fucking head too?
