he jets are the toughest team out there for the world champs because they can stay with the Patriots physically. however, i think this game comes down to execution on offense...where I see the patriots holding an edge. this will be a hard fought division game as usual...curtis martin will get his yards...chad pennington will make a mistake or 2...and the patriots are at home so
Patriots 27
Jets 21

The Jets will be lucky to score 14 points this weekend. And that amount will be a far cry from the amount needed to win.
Pats: 31
Jets: 13
Either the Jets were looking past SF last week or they are steadily getting worse as the weeks roll along. They sure didn't look great against Buf either.

Or perhaps maybe they were playing without two of their starting lineman and best receiver.
As far as them getting worse each week maybe that has something to do with the teams they're playing. Say what you want about Miami, Buffalo and SF but they each have defenses ranked in the top half of the league. Miami and Buffalo are both ranked in the top ten and SF is 14th. San Diego and Cincy have two of the worst defenses in the league. So it seems to make sense that the Jets have scored less in the past three games then they did in the first two games.
Thankfully the defense has been consistant. Still no back to run for 100 on them.
which is strange because they weren't so good against the run last year
Saying they were "not so good" is putting it too nicely. They were freaking horrible against the run last year. Everybody they played had someone go over 100 on them.
Dwayne Robertson has stepped up his game and they got much younger and faster at LB. Plus they have a new D-coordinator that plays a much more aggressive style instead of the read and react crap they were doing under Cottrell. So the improvement against the run isn't really all that shocking. Dillon will be a tough test for them but they'll make him earn whatever he gets.

I think (hope) this will be a close game. Any division game no matter the records is always tougher. The Jets D is better against the run than years past because they got much faster especially in the LB's and they can actually tackle people this year.
What the Patsies have done is simply amazing but they aren't exactly blowing teams out so I think the Jets can stay close in the 4th, and hopefully get a late score to win.
You're obviously not at the games watching him get manhandled constantly. He's almost as bad as Bryan Thomas.
Nobody is as bad as Bryan Thomas. Nobody!!
I think he's doing his job which is to occupy blockers and free up the LB's . Every play they have at least two blockers on him. Did you see the sack Abraham got at the end of the game this week? He was one on one with the tackle b/c three guys were blocking Robertson.
Apparently, Jets quarterback Chad Pennington has already provided the Patriots some more bulletin-board material, declaring publicly that his team would be 6-0 after this Sunday's game in New England.

haha. who does pennington think he is that he gets to trash talk, can't wait to see him lose his cool out there while the defense trashes him

it's gonna be close, it is key not to turn the ball over, and the jets linebackers are 10x better than last year, younger and faster, the patsy will expose our weak secondary, but will have to beat our speed in the front 7 to beat us
