Head of foster parent group charged with molestationORANGE CITY - (AP) -- The president of a foster parent association has been charged with molesting two children, police said.
An investigator from the state Department of Children & Families went to George Allen Goulde's Orange City home after a complaint was made to an abuse hot line, Sgt. Jason Sampsell said. The 61-year-old president of the Volusia/Flagler Foster-Adoptive Parent Association was arrested Sunday and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and child abuse.
Two boys told a DCF investigator that Goulde put his hands down their pants several times last year, Sampsell said. Goulde reportedly admitted sexual contact took place but not as many times as the boys said.
He was being held today at the Volusia County jail on $200,000 bail.
Goulde has been a licensed foster parents since August 2003. There have been 14 total foster children in the Goulde home, according to local foster care officials. DCF has removed any children that were in Goulde's home.
Officials are investigating if former foster children may have been molested. DCF officials said Goulde's foster parent license will be reviewed after the criminal investigation.
