I have one that I use for my MAC but my wife wants to take it to work and connect to her PC to download some jpgs we have on it. Its a Western Digital will it reformat when connected to the PC and erase everything on it or will it act like a flash drive and be able to switch between the two formats?

i think the wd's are interchangeable, so says the booklet that came with mine, however i have never tried it.
