It is a good album, but I have a romantic attachment to the Richey stuff. I was young and beautiful back then.
Actually back then I was all about Generation Terrorists. Rock and Roll that knew who Camus was? Perfect. The only band I liked as a teenager that beautiful teenage girls also liked. Fucking great live band supporting that album, one of the best shows of my life.
Only a short while later the Gold Against The Soul show I saw was one of the worst of my life so there you go, enjoy your youth 'cos it goes fast.
Oh yeah, A Design For Life. One of the great misunderstood-by-imbeciles songs, suddenly Manics shows were overrun with Sun reading lager louts shouting we only want to get drunk, yeah!!!
Wankers.

Nah, I think EmG is a great album. Especially No surface all feeling and Small black Flowers.. But it's quite a departure from The holy Bible, but they flirted with more radio-friendly stuff already on Gold against Sould. I like all their albums, with the exception of Lifeblood. I really hope the new album will be rockier than that one. Know your Enemy is their best record post-EmG I think.

does anybody have the Cuba dvd? looks cools
It's ok. The bonus-songs have terrible picture and sound though. Those bonus songs are among the best of the set too IMO:
So Why So Sad (bonus live)
A Design For life (bonus live)
The Masses Against The Classes (bonus live)
You Stole The Sun From My Heart (bonus live)
Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head (bonus live)
Freedom Of Speech Won´t Feed My Children (bonus live)
But any MSP-DVD featuring Motorcycle Emptiness is worth the asking price.
The live-dvd from the Everything must Go is much better. I don't know if it's out, but I have it on VHS. I also consider Leaving the 20th Century to be better. Setlist for that one:
'You Stole The Sun From My Heart', 'Faster', 'Everything Must Go', 'Tsunami', 'The Masses Against The Classes', 'The Everlasting', 'Kevin Carter', 'La Tristesse Durera (Scream To A Sigh)', 'Rock And Roll Music', 'Ready For Drowning', 'Of Walking Abortion', 'No Surface, All Feeling', 'Motown Junk', 'Motorcycle Emptiness', 'Too Good To Be True', 'Small Black Flowers', 'Australia', 'Elvis Impersonator', 'You Love Us', 'Stay Beautiful', 'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next' and 'A Design For Life'

Best eBay purchase ever (Made in Austria) beside my three subway size Oasis posters... which are awaiting another, that I've yet to find. The endless search for posters
