Yea it's great although they are almost the same setlist for the three shows, Seattle is a little better bc it was before the black album. I bought mine when it first came out so I have the cd and 3vhs version. The new one has dvd's

I listened to Mexico City nonstop when it first came out a million years ago - they added Seattle sometime later but I haven't heard the updated version. My only complaint about Mexico City would be the fact that it's too produced - they should have just left the live Metallica sound alone - there was no need to fatten it up. I had plenty of bootlegs prior to hearing this one that sounded just fine coming out of the PA.

Seattle is fucking awesome!
I gathered that it probably would be - they were just on fire during the Justice tour - I've never been able to find the audio for that show - any ideas?

Seattle '89 is great.
Mexico city '93 audio is very good, although it's compiled over three nights.
San Diego is great too, but the camera angles switch too fast. Very mtv-ish.
all-in-all, the boxed set is a great buy.

I've always been one of the few people disappointed by Metallica live, but it's really all James Hetfield. Taking dark, driven songs and tossing a trillion 'fuck yeah's and 'motherfucker's into them is just retarded sounding. The vox end up sounding like Ted Nugent covering Ten.
it rocks. i don't really like san diego, because, like someone said, the camera switches all the time, and also the photography is kinda blurry, the seattle vid is way better and the setlist kicks more ass.

I'm speechless at this comment - even today, I go and see Metallica whenever they roll through town. Their new material may not be good anymore, but man, their live show ranks up there with PJ and DMB in my book.

this has been one of my favorite boxed sets . I remember first watching it like ten years ago and being blown away from it.
I had a little renaissance in watching these shows a lot when the DVDs came out. Seattle is a killer show, Mexico City was very good (has my favorite version of Creeping Death on it). San Diego is too overproduced visually and it really takes away from the awesomeness of that show, but i still enjoy watching it

What I remember best is that my mom bought me this for Christmas when I was like 14 or 15 and I was stoked because little did she know that she bought me something that had boobies in it.
