Beautiful Loser is another great album. Live Bullet also rocks. I saw him live a couple of times in the early 80's, few bands put on a better live show than the Silver Bullet Band back in the day.

i cant believe theres not much seger love here.. ive been listenin to him tons since the summer.. never really went too deep into his stuff, but his 2 greatest hits cds are so good

against the wind/turn the page/night moves can go head up with anyones top 3.. hollywood nights and main street are ridiculously good too

His early stuff is fantastic. I could do without alot of the later era material. But this one photo changed my opinon of Bob Seger

I like Bob Seger--he wrote a certain kind of song extremely well, and had a gift for pushing nostalgia and sentimentality as far as it could go before crossing over into mawkishness (though he did occasionally overshoot). He has one of those 2CD "Ultimate Collection" as-seen-on-TV type things that came out a couple years back that looks pretty solid.
