So I was reading an old Guitar World interview from 1993 with Eddie and I came across this:

Quote:
GW: What else bothers you?

EV: I wish we weren't on MTV, man. It's just weird how there's things you can't control. All of a sudden it gets out of hand, and you're standing there going, "Fuck." So what do you do? You play emotionally correct because you can, then you turn it into something else. You gotta be honest. And I just feel silly talking about our band all the time. There are so many great bands -- you hate talking about yourself and want to talk about the new Buffalo Tom or Henry Rollins records.

Does anyone here remember Buffalo Tom or liked them back in the day? I completely forgot about them till I read this and I loved them. If you like early 90's music you gotta hear "Big Red Letter Day" It's not very PJish, a slower tone I guess, but back in 93 this was the only thing competing for time in my cd player with Ten and Vs. Anyway, just seeing if anyone's even heard of them.

What's going on with this band? I've been hearing that they're recording their new album, but I haven't heard anything further definitively about it yet. And their website hasn't been updated in forever. Anything?

Does anyone remember the show "My So-Called Life"?

There was one episode that featured two songs from Big Red Letter day, Soda Jerk, and Late at Night. I completely forgot about this for about twelve years then saw the rerun on Noggin and went out and bought the record.

And Let Me Come Over is just as good, if not better . . .

The Big Red Letter Day show at the Vic here in Chicago back in 1994 is still one of my all-time favorite concerts . . .

I liked Let Me Come Over a lot when it was released. So many great songs on that record.

yeah, LMCO is great as well, but the production leaves a bit to be desired for me.

i even like Sleepy Eyed a good deal as well.

i missed my one chance to see BT in '00, i was sick and out of a job so i was being rather choosy w/ what shows i paid for

It's out already? Three Easy Pieces was way better than it should have been after almost 10 years off. I'll definitely check out the new one as well. I LOVED these guys back in college - Big Red Letter Day and Let Me Come Over are fantastic. Sleepy-Eyed is real good too.

It was available on UK iTunes store on Saturday even though it was not meant to be released until today.
