I just got back from the North Shore where I met Eddie. I was just watching the O'Neil World Cup Surf Competition and right after Kelly Slater got out of the water I turned around and Eddie (with daughter in arms, Jill and some other lady) was walking right towards me (and these two guys I was with who were also huge PJ fans), so we went up to him and shook his hand. I said "I just want to thank you for an amazing concert and tour, and everything you've done" He asked where we were from, they were from Winnipeg and they were able to tell him but I had forgotten where I was from at that point....so I didn't. Then I asked him if that was Olivia (his daughter) and told him my name was Olivia. He looked at his daughter and said "Her name's Olivia too". Cutest kid ever. Then we asked him if we could get a picture with him and he said "Yeah, hold on, I just gotta....wait right here." Then he went over and talked to Kelly Slater for a while, then he gave his daughter to someone and came over. I got a couple pictures with him and then he thanked us. I guess I've been over here for too long cause I said "Mahalo" (Thank You in Hawaiian, everyone says it so it becomes customary) and he said it back. I got some good pictures of him and his daughter and him and Slater....I don't know if it's rude to post those so I'll wait for feedback on that.
I was so nervous I forgot how to Smile
What I learned: You think you won't get star-struck, but you do.
P.S. Show was amazing, I can't believe I got Little Wing with lyrics again this tour, it made me change my flight and I'm now staying for the PJ/U2 show!!
