what do you guys think?

they keep talking about it on ESPN. it's kind of difficult for someone like myself who didn't see some of the other legends cause i don't have much to compare him to, but he's definitely an amazing running back.

he'll end up being the best football player ever, as long as he has no serious injuries

He's getting pretty dang close. It takes a lot to catch up to the likes of Sweetness and Barry, but fortunately he still has much of his career left.

1. Barry/Walter

LT isn't even in the discussion yet, imo.

he might be...but it's pretty much impossible to compare him to guys from other eras. He's certainly in the discussion with guys like Jim Brown, Walter Payton, OJ Simpson, and Barry Sanders.

At this point I think it's still Jim Brown, because of how he revolutionized the game.

I love LT, but I think Jim Brown still has the edge. Ultimately it dosen't really matter because of how difficult it is to truely compare.

He's definately in the top tier group, I could never take only one guy though.

i think the correct answer to the question posed is "not yet."

You act like it's worth one. No thanks. This can be argued in circles. The difference between the three is minimal. Any of them could be considered the best. I have no desire of getting into an endless argument (with Mithcell of all people).

Even as a Cowboy fan, I don't feel Emmit should be anywhere near the discussion. Same for the homicidal maniac.

as an eagles fan, i hate emmit, but he was awesome. maybe not as good as the others, but still great.

obviously i remember oj as the guy who got away w/ killing his wife, but it seems like anyone who saw oj in his day thinks he's one of the best ever. i cant really disagree with that

Impossible to rank all these guys. I definitely think LT is right up there with the best though. I always thought Brown/Payton > the rest but you could make a case for Sanders too.
