The vinyl version of Vitalogy came out a week before the cd release and a friend of mines brother worked in a local record shop and he got it for me, granted it was November, but that was my christmas present. All my other pj firends were jealous.

And I got 4 copies of Vitalogy that year from parents, sister, cousin and friend. You think I'm gonna wait till Christmas to get this? nope.

Side Note: When looking through the ads with dad on Thanksgiving, he see's the Best Buy ad and says, "That's your band, you'll probably want to go there to get that cd for $9.99 right?"

"Dad, I've had that album for over 12 years. Thanks though." He tries. ; )

   I wish that 10C would offer gift certificates for live shows. So I could give a friend a choice, and they could download whichever show(s) they would like.

You could give your friend $14.99 and tell them they can buy a show. Or they could buy some crack. Whichever suits them.

But I agree that gift certificates are one of the greatest gifts ever; takes a little more thought than just giving cash ("What store does he want to shop at?") but it avoids that "Oh, shit" feeling that you might buy something someone already has or really just doesn't want.

I've never gotten a pj related gift for the holidays. I don't think I'd trust anyone who actually gets me gifts to know what was worth having. I've accumulated a lot of simpsons crap over the years for the same reason
