OZZY BINS BUCKETHEAD
http://contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf ... buckethead

OZZY OSBOURNE has ditched plans to link up with former GUNS N' ROSES star BUCKETHEAD - because the guitarist refused to lose his famous look.

The guitarist was called in as Ozzy's possible latest guitarist for this year's (05) OZZFEST tour, but Osbourne admits he couldn't persuade the eccentric axeman to ditch his trademark KFC bucket hat and white facemask - and he refused to call him Buckethead.

Ozzy tells rock magazine REVOLVER, "I met with him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the f**king bucket.

"I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green f**king Martian's-hat thing. I said, 'Look, just be yourself.'

"He told me his name was BRIAN, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then.'"

Ozzy is now looking to reunite with former guitarist pal ZAKK WYLDE for the 10th anniversary tour this summer.

He adds, "He's f**king nuts. It depends on a lot of things. He'll probably be with me."

Great guitarist from the little I've heard of him. But a joke, nonetheless.

I love the fact that he won't change his alter-ego, even for the 'mightly' Ozzy. Good for him. The man has more talent in an ass hair than Ozzy does in the last 20 years of music he's put out.

I do see Ozzy's point though. Ozzy is the main attraction on that stage. The only guy who could rival his thunder was Randy Rhodes, not some douche with a gimmick.

Buckethead lost a lot of credibility when joining the Axl circus, so F him.

Ya, I'm sure you would have turned down the money to do something Bhead could do in his sleep. Plus, all his friends were there. He plays in Praxis with Brain and Mix Master Mike plays with Praxis occasionally as part of the incredible scratch pickles w/ DJ Qbert.

Besides AXL basically sucked his dick to get him to join. I don't blame him I would have done it too. Everyone (I'm sure axl included) knew it wasn't gonna last very long either.

If you have one iota of musical knowledge, you would know that Buckethead could wipe his ass with RR. He is way too fucking good for Ozzy.
Zakk would still be doing it if Ozzy's c*nt of a wife didn't think he drank too much.

Did he play with a band or with a DAT?

Buckethead at Bonnaroo was fucking amazing and blew me away! He was in Praxis. He played in Les Claypool's bucket of bernie brains and I plan on picking that album up soon. Fucking amazing guitar player! Good for Buckethead to stick up for himself. If you have ever seen him play you would know he is FAR from a joke.

Um, the fact that wears a BUCKET ON HIS HEAD isn't proof positive?
