which album is a good start? and if you want to name a couple songs, that would be cool too

Get Felt Mountain, for sure. If you like Portishead, you should dig it.

Black Cherry and Supernature are both very good too, but very different. Less trip-hop, more catchy dance pop. I still really like it.
